Who we are:

Kevin & Sandy Morgan, of Sturgeon Lake, MN. We raise high quality, purebred Idaho Pasture Pigs that are on a 7-day rotational grazing schedule that keeps them on green pasture throughout the growing season. In the winter we supplement with hay. We are committed to quality not quantity. We are a smaller family farm and by keeping our numbers low we can devote more time and energy into raising the highest quality pigs for both breeding and pork. The meat is unlike the pork you will find in the grocery store, it will be darker red in color, marbled for excellent flavor, tender and juicy! The fat on these pigs is healthy and good for you!

What are the costs:

  • We require a $100 deposit for half a hog and a $200 deposit for a whole hog. We take Credit card/cash /checks (in the area) or Venmo.

  • Processing charge (butchering) is
    paid directly to the butcher and is currently .90 a lb. hanging weight. We use Lake Haven Meats and/or Schneider Custom Meats. Open to adding others.

  • We aim for a 200lb hanging weight for a whole hog. Typically they range from 185lb to 210lb.

  • The cost is $3.50 a lb. hanging weight for half a hog and $3.25 a lb. for  whole hog paid directly to: Kevin Morgan
